Brotherly Love & Dallas's B-day Party @ School!!!

Last Sunday afternoon, the boys had the best time playing outside with each other. Dagen is at the age now that he can really hang in there with Dallas. Check out these pictures that I made while they were riding the 4-wheeler. I thought these were the sweetest pictures!!!!

On Wednesday, Dallas had his birthday party at school! I found out that Dallas was the youngest student in kindergarten, which was no surprise to me since his birthday is August 30. He is doing really well on his classwork. The only problem he is having now is TALKING!!!

I have to tell you a funny story. Here goes, I received a sad note home in Dallas's backpack one day this week. It said Dallas was talking during class & not listening!! When I ask Dallas about it, he began to tell me the reason he got in trouble!! He said that he needed to tell the teacher something really really important, but she told him to wait for a minute!! When I asked him what was so important, he said " I just wanted to tell Mrs. Mooney that my Daddy shot two bobcats." I thought that was so funny! Kids will say the darnest things!!! Who is this little fellow!!!

Can anyone guess who this is? That's easy! Dagen Wayne. This is want he does for fun while he is at home... He pulls every dish out of the cabinet then climbs in. He has become the little bully at Mrs. Darlene's house. Last week, I think he got in trouble twice for hitting the other kids. Surely, not my little sweet angel!!!

Dallas is doing GREAT in school!! We are so proud of him.. He is doing really good on his school work. One Day, he came home and told me that he told Mrs. Mooney that she looked SO Pretty. I thought what a little FLIRT!!! I guess his gets that honest since his last name is JOHNSON.

1st day of School!!

Dallas started his 1st day of kindergarten today... He did really good. We are so proud of him. We had to leave our house around 6:30 to make sure he didn't miss the bus.. He caught the bus with Briant which worked out really good.The bus arrived around 7:00. Dallas was so excited about finally getting to ride the bus.. He jumped on and waved to us like he had been riding forever.. This was so so sad... I can't believe my baby is starting school. Derek & I cried all the way to Edinburg.

When he arrived at the school, we were there waiting on him. He teared up a little bit when we were about to leave, but I think he was just nervous.. The only complaint the teacher had about Dallas on his 1st day was that he loved to TALK. He gets that Honest!!!

Updates!!!

I want to apologize for not posting lately. I have been so BUSY. I know that isn't a very good excuse. SORRY!! I am going to try an update since my last post. The first week in July Dallas and Dagen took a real bad stomach virus. They were both sick for a solid week!!! We finally managed to get over that!! However, we did have a Great 4th of July! Nana & Papaw had a cookout for lunch. The food was SO good. Paw Tim & Maw Pam had a crawfish boil that afternoon. All the kids got to swim, we even got Paw Tim in the pool. Derek & I love CRAWFISH, we both ate way too much. We definitely enjoyed ourselves. Later that night, we headed to watch the fireworks at the casino. The boys really enjoyed them. Dagen would point up at the sky the whole time and squeal. It was the sweetest thing!!

Katie, Ricky Paul, and Taylor came to visit with Maw & Paw for a few days. We all got together one night to let all the grand kids play. All seven kids had a blast! They went swimming, roasted marshmallows, and eat watermelon. It was sad to see the kids leave. They are VERY special children!!

We have made several trips to Geyser Falls this month. Uncle Russie, Aunt Martha, Maggie, PJ, Harley Anna, Chloe, Nana , Dallas, and I went last Friday. Dallas was so excited that he got to go on the mat ride. In order to go on this ride, you have to be 42 inches tall.. Dallas finally made it!! Dagen didn't go this trip. He is just not quite old enough to really enjoy it!!! I know next year will be a different story! This will be our last weekend to go! That is right Geyser Falls closes Sunday afternoon for the year.

School is around the corner. Please pray for me! Dallas is starting kindergarten at Edinburg on August 6. I know this is going to be very hard on him and me, too. He doesn't adjust to change well at all. I hope everything goes easier than I am thinking it will.

Dallas's Last Ballgame

Last night was Dallas's last ballgame for the season. Dallas has really improved this year. Derek & I are so proud of him..The park gave each child a medallion.. Tyson hosted a team party for the kids. Each child was given a trophy. Dallas was so excited!! He actually wanted to sleep with his medallion around his neck last night.

Outdoor Fun!!!!

Over the weekend, the boys and I had a blast playing on the waterslide!!! We played on it for about 3 hours. We were all exhausted about 4:00 that afternoon.. Dagen is not big enough to climb up the ladder by himself yet, but he tries so hard..

I will soon get the hang of this!!!!

Dagen & His Nanny

I love for Harley Anna to spend the night with us. She is such good HELP... She helps me clean the house, fold clothes, and helps so much with the boys... For her to be only 10 years old, she is VERY independent. She and Dagen get along real good!!! She takes up so much time with him. He could be in the worst of moods, but as soon as he sees her his little face lights up!!! This may be hard to believe, but they have some of the same ways. We pick on Harley Anna and tell her that she is Dagen's Nanny.Thank you Harley Anna for everything you do... We Love U.

Our DISAPPOINTING Weekend!!!

On Saturday, Derek, Dallas, PJ & I got up at 3:00 am. We were headed to Hebert LA for the 2009 Marango Swamp ATV ride. We had look forward to this 4-wheeler ride for a while. We arrived about 7:30.. Jeff, Kristi, Briant & Kimberly were waiting on us when we got there.. We were ready to get MUDDY & HAVE FUN!!!! We rode about 1 mile and a piece in the transmission went out. Jeff had to pull us back to the truck... Needless to say, it wasn't a pleasant ride home.

Derek has a 2008 Articat ATV.. It is not even a year old!!! Thank Goodness it is still under warranty. I had been joking with Derek that he should have bought a Honda... When we were leaving the ride, several guys started hollering "should have bought a Honda." I thought it was hilarious, Derek was very aggravated.....

To brighten up everyone's weekend, we went to Geyser Falls on Sunday.. Nana, PJ, Harley-Anna, Dallas, Dagen , Chloe, & I arrived about 2:00. The kids had so much fun!!! This was Dagen's 1st time to go. He loved it!!! The water was still a little cool... I think the Creaky Leaky is Dallas's favorite area. Dagen's favorite is the Little Squirts!!!

This past weekend we helped Blaine celebrate his 5th birthday party at Golden Memorial State Park in Walnut Grove... The kids fished for a long while.. Dallas had the best time.. He loves to fish! We brought PJ along with us for the trip!!

Dagen turned 1

I can't believe my baby turned 1 on May 23. This photo was taken just a few minutes after Dagen was born. He has changed so much.. Where did the time do?

We celebrated with a barnyard PARTY at our house!!! The kids had a blast.. It rained the whole time, but it didn't slow the kids down any... Dagen's favorite part was eating his cake.. He made the biggest mess! He loved it..His cake turned out so cute!! Maw Pam & Maw Maw made it for him! Believe or not, Dagen started crying when it was time to open his presents. He wanted to play in the rocks...
